Job Description

Provide leverage to more senior team members including preparation of pitch materials, initial views on new issue credits, market update materials and general product work associated with live transactions and origination efforts;

Understand credit pricing, familiarity with the offshore equity-linked execution process and knowledge of the market norms and general terms and conditions of the offshore APAC ECM, DCM, Equity-Linked and Equity Derivative products;

Explain offshore equity-linked markets, transaction terms and the execution process to clients;

Co-ordinate with the professional parties in relation to the issuance process;

Keep track of market activities and relevant news.

Requirements and Qualifications

Degree holder from a well-regarded college or university;

1 to 4 years experience in DCM, ratings advisory or credit sales/trading, well-developed understanding of credit pricing and the ability to identify and discuss comparable issuers in terms of their credit metrics;

Strong knowledge of global capital markets and culture. Completed deal experience with offshore debt issuances (does not need to include convertible or exchangeable bonds) by Chinese corporations as the lead bank or joint-global coordinator (or credit sales/trading experience involving such issuances) is essential, experience with other APAC issuers is highly beneficial. Experience with equity or equity derivatives is beneficial but not essential;

Must possess Hong Kong Type 1 and Type 6 licenses or the ability to be so licensed;

Very strong analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills;

Good PC skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Chinese Word Processing;

Good command of written and spoken English and native speaker level fluency in written and spoken Chinese (Putonghua) is essential.
